The people of Saskatoon are lucky to have a number of amazing events and destinations to enjoy. 1. Gardenscape – 23 Mar 2018 – 25 Mar 2018

Saskatchewan Blue Cross Gardenscape at Prairieland Park is always the first signs of spring on the prairies. Come, witness, as Prairieland is transformed with live blooms, intricate gardens, outdoor living décor exhibitors and how-to seminars. Get inspired at the only backyard living show with industry experts.

2. Modern Woman Show and Exhibition – April 14th– 15th

 

A trade show for women by women, featuring an array of contemporary Saskatoon boutiques through an impressive fashion show while showcasing local musicians and talent. The show has expanded to include more vendors, local artisans, and The Runway Show of Spring! The Modern Woman Show & Exhibition is and will continue to be a supportive, invigorating and inspiring space for female entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan to showcase their goods and services.  Be sure to stop by the Realty Executives Saskatoon booth, as we are proud sponsors of this annual event.

3. Vesna Festival 2018 – 12 May 2018

This annual Ukrainian celebration of spring features a dance and traditional Ukrainian food, artisans, fine art, dancers, bands, cultural displays, boutique/marketplace and children’s area.

4.  Nutrien Children’s Festival of Saskatchewan – 02 Jun 2018 – 05 Jun 2018

It just wouldn’t be a proper kickoff to the summer season without the Children’s Festival!  World-class entertainment from Canada and around the globe, for children of all ages. Four days of wonderful music, theatre, puppetry, dance and circus arts for schools and families. Fabulous site activities guarantee full day of fun and adventure. Various food booths on site, at Kiwanis Park, downtown Saskatoon.

5. SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival – 22 Jun 2018 – 01 Jul 2018

From jazz to blues, worldbeat to funk, soul to gospel, you’ll find everything you need at Saskatchewan’s largest cultural event. Make memories this summer by attending this internationally recognized event where world-class venues, hospitality and music await. The complete 2018 line-up will be announced at a later date, but the Flaming Lips are confirmed as headliners. Visit website for details.

6. Optimist Canada Day – 01 Jul 2018

Come out to Optimist Park and help celebrate Canada Day. Children’s activities, food vendors, displays and all day entertainment, culminating in a world class fireworks display.

7. Pion-Era – 14 Jul 2018 – 15 Jul 2018

The Western Development Museum comes alive with the sights and sounds of days gone by. Activities include a vintage fashion show, ice cream making and butter churning, demonstrations of “The Story of Threshing”, “Parade of Power” and so much more! It’s fun for the whole family – the young and the young at heart! Costumed interpreters.

8. Saskatoon RibFest – 03 Aug 2018 – 06 Aug 2018

Check this out for fun and festivities at Saskatoon RibFest. This four-day family event offers delicious, succulent ribs barbecued by some of Canada’s top “Ribbers” plus live entertainment, children’s fun area, food vendors and beer gardens.

Come on over to Diefenbaker Park on the August long weekend and enjoy Saskatoon RibFest.

Organized by the Rotary Club of Saskatoon Nutana. Proceeds support Rotary’s work in the community.

9. Saskatoon EX – 07 Aug 2018 – 12 Aug 2018

The EX is one of largest summer festivals in Saskatchewan. Filled with rides, entertainment, grandstand acts, food and fun, it is the place to be in August. Check out their website for up-to-date information on the grandstand announcements and all the deals and promotions

10. Folkfest 2018 – 16 Aug 2018 – 18 Aug 2018

Event features up to 25 pavilions in various locations throughout the city. Ethnic food, cultural performances and displays, exhibits and demonstrations representing Saskatchewan’s multicultural heritage. Complimentary shuttle buses with the Folkfest passport.)

11. Shakespeare on The Saskatchewan – 04 Jul 2018 – 19 Aug 2018

Take in this summer cultural paradise on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River. Shakespeare’s greatest works are portrayed by some of Saskatchewan’s finest actors. 2018 featured performances include Hamlet and The Merry Wives of Windsor. Check website for more information.

12. Rock the River – 17 Aug 2018 – 19 Aug 2018

Saskatchewan’s classic rock festival. Music you loved back then and still love today. Friday – Toronto, Nick Gilder & Sweeney Todd and Nazareth; Saturday – Lee Aaron, Men Without Hats, Sweet, Little River Band and Sunday – Prism, Kim Mitchell, Gino Vannelli, Trooper. 13. Nutrien Fireworks Festival – 31 Aug 2018 – 01 Sep 2018

Saskatoon’s multitude of summer events caps off with a cultural showcase of ethnic performing groups culminating in a spectacular display of fireworks all choreographed to music. Concessions, music, vendors, children’s activities, washrooms. Free bike valet, for those who would find a bike valet an added value.

14. Saskatchewan Entertainment Expo – September 15th – 16th

The Saskatchewan Entertainment Expo (SEE) is coming back to Saskatoon! SEE is bringing in exciting North American television and movie entertainers, as well as pop culture and comic book creators to provide a cultural experience in Saskatchewan that has yet to be attempted on this scale. Rounding out the immense talent, SEE will fill the hall with provincial and national vendors of all kinds, for a show that will appeal to adults and families alike looking for an exciting day out.
